I was given, by the lovely Marsha from right here at Livin’ Life On Less, a huge bottle of Olay 7 Total Effects Body Wash. I was pretty excited for several reasons:
- I don’t have money to buy body wash
- It was a FULL size bottle.
- It came in a pretty box with an awesome little scrubby of it’s own AND OF COURSE
- Because it gave me a chance to meet a fellow local blogger in person (squee!)
When I got home and read the product information, I became a little more excited. It claimed the following within the next 28 days: Improved elasticity, relieves dryness; deeply conditions skin; brightens dull skin; evens skin tone; smoothes rough skin; minimizes the appearance of dry lines. Sounds good, right?
To say there is wealth of body washes in my bathroom would be the understatements of the century. My daughter is on some quest to try every products ever invented. She has at least six or seven bottles going at one time. I can barely move in my shower and on the bathroom door hangs one of those giant shoe holders that is virtually full of lotions and, well, stuff. I would be lying if I said I hadn’t tried a few of her purchases (shhh, don’t tell her) and to be honest I don’t like body washes. I don’t feel as clean as I do with a bar of soap, and in the end my skin always feels drier than before my shower.
Enter Olay Total Effects. Unbelievable. I mean, how did I get this old (with skin this wrinkled and old appearing) and not know there were things out there that really work? Very first shower, I felt clean, smooth and soft. And that feeling lasted the entire day. After one week, I can honestly SEE my skin tone evening out. But I can say anything I want and you can just say, sure she says her skin feels better but is it real? Well, here is where I have proof of the miracle.
Mr. Vixen doesn’t know I have been trying this. Doesn’t even know I have it. And folks, night before last just before we fell asleep; the man in my life (who has never mentioned my skin in the almost 28 years we’ve been married) said to me “Hey, what have you been doing to your skin? It is so much softer?”
And if that doesn’t convince you to try this stuff? I can’t help you. I just wish I could win another bottle.
